What is the "Top" Result?

When searching on GETTR.com and the GETTR iOS and Android applications, you can filter results by clicking or tapping on Top, Latest, People, Live, GTok, Photos, or Videos (located at the top of the search results).

Choosing "Top" will display posts that are most relevant to your search.

Note: Comprehensive posts are selected by the algorithm, and we do not manually edit search results.

If the posts in "Top" are not the latest, why are they still displayed?

Some earlier results may be displayed at the top because they are considered to have higher value for your query. Our search algorithm deems these posts particularly relevant to your search topic, even if they may not be the most recently posted. Choosing "latest" allows you to view search results in real-time order.

How to Filter Other Search Results?

You can click or tap on the filters at the top of the search results to change the type of search results.

  • Clicking or tapping on "People" shows accounts results that match your search.

  • Clicking or tapping on "Live" displays popular live streams relevant to your search.

  • Clicking or tapping on "GTok" shows popular GTok content related to your search.

  • Clicking or tapping on "Photos" or "Videos" displays popular media, including images and videos, relevant to your search.

Why can't I see my favorite posts in the "Top" results?

"Top" results show posts most relevant to your search. We determine relevance based on post popularity, keywords, and many other factors. If your favorite posts do not appear in the Top posts, it means they may not be the most relevant results for your search criteria. You can click on "Latest" to view recently posted posts that match your search post.
